Happiness

School is back in session and already it has been busy busy busy. But...we paid off all of our student loans so we are 100%  DEBT FREE! :) It feels amazing! AND we opened another savings account and we are officially starting to save for a house! We are hoping to be ready to make an offer by Christmas of next year. We have been looking at houses here and there and it gets me so excited to think that we could be home owners next year! It is crazy how quickly life goes by. It feels like just a few months ago that Brad and I got married and in a month we will have been married a whole year! Life is crazy and busy but we are finding happiness in the little things and right now life is good!

He's back!

Last week Brad's very best friend in the entire world (that is an understatement...afterall we are naming our first born son after him) Jordan got back from his mission in Argentina. They haven't seen each other for 4 years! Jordan left on his mission the week before Brad got home from his. Since Jordan has been home, those two boys have been inseparable. It is so cute to watch them together. And it makes me happy to know that they are out doing silly boy stuff together and loving every minute of it. They had a sleepover 2 nights after he got home, they've gone to the mall twice, they find buy one get one deals and get matching shirts and shoes and stuff, they text each other at 3am just because they can. It really is so cute :)
Joran even sent Brad a list of plans for their future together, complete with pictures and a story. This is what it said
{ Lets move to Cali and we will buy houses there together and make an underground tunnel that connects the two, and then we will both put secret rooms in the house where you have to move the right book in order for the bookshelf to rotate. Then we will have fountain drink machines in the kitchen, I will have dew and you will have diet coke. Then we will have big screen tvs with urinals in the bathrooms!! Red urinals (maybe lime green) and this is the best part, our backyards will be the beach! We will have tight boats that go fast and sick ace wakeboard/kneeboard boats! Dude, this is paradise we are planning here. And once we are sick of that stuff (not till we are 60) we will buy a helicopter and a personal jet together, and the helicopter pad will be in an underground hide-out and we can use that to fly us to our private jet, so we can take our wives to Mexico or Hawaii or wherever we feel like...because we have our own personal plane and we are rich old men! HECK YA, LETS DO IT!!}
I'll have to regulate on the urinals in the bathroom...thats just gross.

Introducing Owen

Welcome to the world Owen Richard Wilcox! My adorable nephew Owen was born on Saturday August 13th.  He was 7.9 lbs of pure sweetness when he was born. We are so happy that he is finally here and doing well! We all love him so much already :) Congrats to Courtney and Robert for bringing such a sweet baby into this world! (These pictures were taken on my phone, that's why they're so blurry)

Lake Powell

We just got back from a 4 day boating trip to Lake Powell. It was so much fun, and a much needed vacation full of relaxation. We went with our friends Kacen and Tanya, Scott and Megan, Jeremy, Taylor and Vince. I've only been to Lake Powell 2 or 3 other times in my life, and this was the first time I have ever camped out on the beach. It was so fun, but I now understand what people mean when they say you can't escape the heat. It was SO HOT, but such a blast! We played on the boat, did some swimming, cliff jumping, roasted hot dogs, made delicious tin foil dinners, and we just relaxed and hung out with our friends! On the first day there I put my camera in a cup holder on the boat, and that cup holder just happened to be full of water. :(  So my camera was out of commission for basically the entire trip. I was not very happy about it. Luckily I was able to take a few pictures before I broke it and we have such good friends who documented the trip for us. Brad and the boys just love to "one up" each other and so gradually the cliffs they were jumping from got higher, and higher, and higher...and eventually  Brad and Kacen ended up jumping off a 65 ft high cliff! Tanya and I tried our hardest to stop them, but boys will be boys I guess. I honestly thought we were going to have to take them to the hospital if they jumped, luckily no one was hurt. After the other boys saw that Brad and Kacen lived through that experience, they decided they needed to jump too. It was quite the experience to say the least. Brad impressed me yet again with his knee boarding skills, and he even taught me to do a 360 on the knee board! :) This trip was full of fun fun memories...here are a few of my favorite
*Laying underneath the stars with B and watching for shooting stars
*We were sitting in a little cove trying to catch a fish and Megan and Tanya were leaning over the boat looking into the water for fish, and Brad swam under the boat and jumped out of the water and scared them both :)
*Our friend Jeremy didn't bring any sunscreen on this trip. Instead he brought a bottle of tanning lotion and coco butter. Needless to say he is fried like a lobster.
*Brad's mermaid impression
*Wishing we had an anchor the whole week and on the last day, a few hours before we packed up we found one :)
*Jeremy jumping off the back of the boat going 35-40 mph.
*Diving lessons and 360 lessons with Bradley bug.

The last pictures on my camera before it died...

Officially halfway!

Today I finished my last final for summer semester! :) It was about dang time. Summer semester seemed to drag on forever! But I am done. done. done! I have 3 glorious weeks off of school and I am officially out of my first year of nursing school and starting my second! Things I want to do while I have a break include:
*finishing the hunger games series
*making some crafts!
*going to lagoon
*staying up late with Brad
*going swimming (I can't believe it's already August and I haven't been to the pool)
*going to park city for the day
Just to name a few.

We got a new laptop! :) Brad's old one finally died and we got a super sweet new one.

Jeff and Holli moved to Missouri today. We are so so sad they're gone, but he is so excited to start medical school and we all know he will do awesome! :)

We went to St. George a few weeks ago to spend some quality time with Catharine and Kirk and their new little buddy Amos. It was nice to get away and relax. We did a little hike, the boys went shooting and the girls went shopping. We went to lunch with Kacen and Tanya. But mostly we did nothing and it was perfect! :)

We ate here on the way down. I got sick when we got to about Provo area...and was sick the rest of the way down. awesome.

love this boy

112 degrees.

The boys being men...

We tried to go to the temple but it was closed for the 24th of July. bummer.

So we went to mcdonalds and got breakfast instead :)

We love this little babe
