Lake Mead

Over Easter we had the opportunity to go to Lake Mead with the Fortuna side. It was such a great trip! It was so nice to get away and relax. The weather was pretty good, it was about 70-75 while we were there, and it was only cold while we were boating. We had fun catching up with Catharine and Kirk and baby Amos, and the boys had fun shooting and pushing giant rocks into the water. We went to church while we were there, although most of us forgot church clothes, so we went in our jeans. It doesn't matter what you're wearing, you feel the spirit just the same! I had such a great time with the family, but one of my favorite parts of the trip was the drive home with Bradley. We hardly get much time to just talk about anything and everything, and we had 5 whole hours to just talk to each other. :) It was a wonderful trip and a nice break from school. April Fools

In honor of April Fools I just had to play a joke on Brad. I couldn't think of anything that would top last year (the fake pregnancy test) but I still wanted to do something...so I decided that I would throw flour on him while he was in the shower! I was laughing hysterically, and Brad just rolled his eyes haha. I'm just waiting for him to get me back, and when he does it will be 10 times worse! But for now I'm enjoying my victory. Leah +1, Brad 0.

Opinions needed

For those of you that don't know, these are jelly shoes. I wore them all the time as a kid and loved them! I recently saw a pair for adults and thought to myself I need a pair of those! I was so excited to tell Brad about my amazing find, only to discover that he thinks they are ugly! So now I don't know if I like them because they really are cute, or if I only like them because they bring back happy childhood memories. So I need to know, would you wear a pair of these? Are they cute? Opinions please :)

We are just enjoying life as a family of 2, plus one dog. We are anxious for spring to be here for good. Life is beautiful! :)

Shout Out

This post is for my sweet sister Melinda. Yesterday Brad and I both had a busy day and neither of us were going to be home for 8 hours straight, and poor zeus needed to be let out of his kennel to eat and play and go to the bathroom. So I asked Melinda if she could take some time out of her day (her day off) to go over to my house and rescue our puppy. She said she would, and the last thing I told her before I got off the phone was, "don't mind our messy house." It's true, our house was a disaster! We had piles and piles of laundry, clean and dirty, and we have projects going on so we have tools and crafts everywhere, and of course school bags and notebooks and text books all over the place. When I got home that night I walked into our living room and my sister had folded all of our laundry!! It was like 3 loads worth of clothes! It was the best surprise ever and really helped us out. So I just wanted to let her know how grateful we are :) Thanks Melinda, you are the best and we love you!
